The procedure for implementing the access of End Users to the National Medicines Verification System is a 3-steps approach:
Before the End User can receive access to the Verification System and the technical implementation of the End User can start, two prerequisites must be fulfilled:
1. Contractual On Boarding
In the contractual On Boarding process, the End User needs to provide a set of information elements that are required to identify the End User and to create the End User in the Verification system. During this process the End User needs also to confirm the acceptance of the NMVS Access Policy.
BeMVO will verify the received information with external official sources and decide if the concerned End User is allowed to receive access to the Verification System.
The entire process from reception of the access request, perform the Legitimacy Check and set up the user in the Verification System can take 2 weeks up to 2 months in case multiple requests are received at the same time and in periods of bottleneck.
It is therefore strongly advised that Users request access as soon as possible.
For access requests received in December 2018 or January 2019, BeMVO cannot guarantee that the contractual on boarding will be finished before 9 February 2019.
2. Technical development
In the first phase of this process, the IT responsible (internal or external) of the End User receives access to the Arvato Development Portal where all necessary background and technical information is available to develop the different system queries. When ready with the development, the End User’s IT supplier can provide evidence of his readiness by running a set of basic tests in the Baseline Testing environment.
In addition, the End User can also run a Pilot test in IQE environment at any moment in the process.
Also here it is important that the technical development is ready in time. The verification of the results of the Baseline Testing by BeMVO System can take 2 weeks up to 2 months in case multiple requests are received at the same time and in periods of bottleneck.
It is therefore strongly advised to finalize the development as soon as possible.
