WHO ARE THE END USERS OF THE VERIFICATION SYSTEM?

Based on the Delegated Regulation, following types of End Users can be distinguished.

1. “Persons authorised or entitled to supply medicinal products to the public”

1.a  User group “Pharmacy – Belgium”

  • All licensed Public Pharmacies in Belgium
  • The pharmacy of the Ministry of Justice providing medicines to prisons
  • Companies with an Authorisation of Preparation (Bereidingsvergunning/Autorisation de Préparation) – but see note below

1.b  User group “Pharmacy – Luxembourg”

  • All licensed Public Pharmacies in Luxembourg

1.c  User group “Hospitals – Belgium”

  • All pharmacies of the General and Psychiatric Hospitals in Belgium

1.d  User group “Hospitals – Luxembourg”

  • All pharmacies of the General and Psychiatric Hospitals in Luxembourg

 2. “Wholesalers”

2.a  User group “Wholesalers – Belgium”

  • All full line Wholesalers for Human products that have a FAGG/AFMPS license as “Groothandel-Verdeler/Grossiste-Répartiteur”

2.b  User group “Wholesalers – Luxembourg”

  • All full line Wholesalers that are considered “Grossistes pleinement assortis en médicaments humains” by the Luxembourg authorities

2.c  User group “Other Wholesalers – Belgium”

  • Companies, other than “Wholesalers – Belgium”, having a wholesaling license in Belgium and are needing a connection to the Verification System according their activity

2.d  User group “Other Wholesalers – Luxembourg”

  • Companies, other than “Wholesalers – Luxembourg”, having a wholesaling license in Luxembourg and are needing a connection to the Verification System according their activity

 3. “National Competent Authorities”

3.a  User group “NCA – Belgium”

The National Competent Authority in Belgium that will manage the access to the Verification System for the purposes of article 39 of the Delegated Regulation

3.b  User group “NCA – Luxembourg”

  • The National Competent Authority in Luxembourg that will manage the access to the Verification System for the purposes of article 39 of the Delegated Regulation

Note:

The User groups “Other Wholesalers” will contain different types of companies such as the distribution centre of a MAH, a 3PL or pre-wholesaler being contracted by a MAH, contracted Manufacturers (CMO), export and trading companies, …

Some of the Companies with an Authorisation of Preparation (Bereidingsvergunning / Autorisation de Préparation) have also a wholesaling license. It is advised to connect with the wholesaling connection offering a broader range of possible transactions.
