To be compliant with the Falsified Medicines Directive and the Delegated Regulation, all actors involved in the distribution of medicines in scope for Belgium must connect to the Belgian Medicines Verification System. Based on the type of activities that the stakeholder is performing in the distribution chain, a different type of connection need to be implemented by that distribution stakeholder or by the software vendor he is using. The Distribution Activity table is listing the potential activities that are supported for respectively the wholesalers and the pharmacies (public and hospital).
The Access Request Form and the detailed procedure for end users to request the access and connection to the verification system, will be available soon on this page.
